A Month to Forget

August this year has been a month to forget, the first inkling of a problem when after coming back from shopping my wife said there is only £6 in the Nectar account, someone had cleared out our Nectar account, a few phone calls later we had a new Nectar account and later the lost points were restored, then on the Bank Holiday in the evening, I had finished on the PC, for some reason I had the urge to sign on again, I found some one had hacked into my account and was in the middle of ordering gift cards on my eBay account, the two cards listed on my PayPal account were close to their limit so they didn't get much, both cards were blocked, more phone calls and new cards issued, for the first time in many years I had to use cash to pay for the shopping, the new Debit Card and Credit Card arrived, I noticed that the Credit Card had a different number to the one shown on my account, more phone calls, they told me the new Credit Card was cancelled on the Tuesday and a new one issued, I'm still waiting for the new card to arrive, all the charges on the Credit Card have been reimbursed, though I am still waiting for the charge on the Debit Card to be refunded.

Dave Allen - The Good Earth / A Way Life

The only single from the Irish Comedian Dave Allen issued February 1969, in 1971 Les Crane had a UK #7 hit with "A Way Of Life" retitled  Desiderata.

Bo And Peep - The Rise Of The Brighton Surf

This 1964 release never made it to the original blog, it was in the pile to be added however with the demise of the blog it never made it. This record is sought after as on the "A" side Peep are the Rolling Stones.

Monday's Boot Sale

I have decided to give the Bank Holiday Monday Boot Sale a miss, it was heavy rain here yesterday and Hook Road Arena has clay soil ang gets waterlogged after heavy rain. I have recovered from the latest bout of cystitis, though I still have to complete the course of antibiotics, the annoying thing with the ones I have been prescribed is that you can not have anything containing milk for two hours before or after you take the medication. The car passed it's MOT with no problems, they were unable to recreate the starting fault I had on Holiday, the problem has not re-occurred since.

Topo D. Bil - Jam

I had little information about this 1969 record, their is some discussion on 45Cat:-                         45cat - Topo D. Bil - Witchi Tai To / Jam - Charisma - UK - CB 116

I recall hearing this played on Sounds of the Sixties by Brian Matthews who mentioned that this record was played about once a year.

I do not recall where I acquired my  copy of this record from.

A Painful Experience

During the week I had an appointment for a Flexible Cystoscopy at Epsom Hospital, I have had this procedure before' so I was aware of what would happen, this time it was very painful, I did not recall any pain the first time I had the procedure, after it was over I was given a letter explaining what could happen and what to do in the event of it happening, well two days later I developed a urinary infection, back to Epsom Hospital there I was prescribed Anti Biotics and high strength Codeine tablets, after two days my high temperature subsided, I managed to take Biscuit for her walk, but was in no fit state to drive so I was unable to do the weekly shop, however today I feel much better and will do the shopping, and hopefully by the end of the week I should be back to normal.

Balloon Busters - Alcock And Brown

This is another record I remember from Charlie Chester's Saturday Early Morning radio show.
This record has appeared in the Piccadilly Sunshine series. This record never made the original blog, it was in the future pile, I would sort out 30-40 records then I would go to the boot sale and buy a number of new records, when I got them home I would clean them and then sort them out, a number of the records I had never heard so out of curiosity I would play the record, as I was playing the record I would make a MP3 file, as a result the originally selected records got pushed back, and the new acquisitions posted instead.
