This is the second Christmas record from Isla St Clair, Issued 18th December 1981 with only a week to go before Christmas was unlikely to generate enough sales to make the charts, at this time Isla St Clair was one of the presenters on BBC show the Generation Game with Larry Grayson.

I have not yet found a copy of her 1978 Christmas single 'Child In A Manger'

I first came across this 1969 record on a CD of forgotten Christmas records, I eventually found a vinyl copy, this record was only released in the USA.

Peter, Patty, Peggy & Bruce - The Happy Penguins

 

Released 1959 and disappeared into deserved obscurity, one of the Howdy Doody Christmas records from the early 1950's, has mention of a sensational Singing Penguins group was this the inspiration for this record, unfortunately there are lot of postings of the 1951 Howdy Doody - Christmas Party, the 1953 Howdy Doody and Santa Claus with the singing penguins has not been posted.

 First released 1983, Frank Kelly would later play the part of Father Jack in the comedy series Farther Ted, from memory I think he only has one line but often repeated " Drink".

The only detail I have for this record is that the record company was based in Waco, Texas, Dick Cooper had at least 2 other records, the reason I acquired this record one it is a Christmas record, the other the title intrigued me.

Released in the USA 1966 and a re-issue in 1971, I thought this record had a UK release but I can find no evidence of it, I first came across this track on a CD of forgotten Christmas records.
