Released 1953 at this time the Phillips Label were only prouducing 78's, it would be a few years before they started producing 45's, most of the other record companies were producing 45's though often in small numbers.
Gilbert Harding was well known in the 50's for his appearances on radio, at one time he was described in the tabloid press as 'The Rudest Man in the World', he died in 1960 of an Asthma attack, he was 53.
During the week I picked up some more records 136 singles, 2 LPs and a CD one of the LPs was Hughie Greens Christmas Party, a record that had eluded me for some time I thought I had found a copy some time back when I took the record out of the sleeve the first thing I noticed was the Tamla Motown label and thought Hughie Green was never on Tamla Motown, the cover had a Marvin Gaye record in it, I sometimes wonder did the records get swapped and did someone think they found a Marvin Gaye LP only to find Hughie Greens Christmas Record.
I spent yesterday afternoon at Epsom Hospital as on Friday evening as I virtually lost sight in my right eye Friday evening, I was referred to St Georges Hospital, Tooting, while I was on the bus returning home St Georges Hospital phoned me with an appointment at 09.30 today Sunday. Yesterday they were running a number of vintage buses on part of the 293 route, it was free to travel on these buses, I still had to get the regular 293 as the free buses terminated at Epsom Clock Tower, the regular 293 bus terminates at Epsom Hospital.
