Bob Rivers - The Twelve Pains Of Christmas
I first came across Bob Rivers when I was in the HMV shop in London I had a Long Service Award and took it as vouchers for the HMV shop, I had spent most of the award and had a few pounds left, I was contemplating adding some cash and buying the complete Round The Horn series, then I saw the Bob Rivers and Twisted Radio - Twisted Christmas CD these were a £1 each so I brought one, the remainder went on a couple of other CD's who's titles I can not remember, later I did acquire the Round The Horn series. This 1987 release is probably the most prototypical version of the song.
The Singers - Johnny's Noel
Issued December 1966 my original copy had the annotation on this side that this song was not to be broadcast, This record was only issued in America.

New Additional Memory
To back up the music tracks and move them between PC's I have 2 x 4TB external hard drives, and a number of smaller drives, most of these are getting a bit long in the tooth, recently when I went to add some tracks the main back-up drive a message said the drive was full, I decided to get a new 8TB SSD drive, over the last couple of days I have been transferring the data to the new drive. The main PC I used for the blog I had custom built, it had 1 x 1TB & 4 x 2TB drives as well as extra USB ports, there was a also a number of external memory drives between 750GB and 8TB, If I ever change my laptop I will get a custom made one to suite my requirements.
The Railway layout is Much Whittering the 1913 proposed branch line to Wittering, it was never built due to the First World War.

Marshmellows - Madalena Hadalena
This is another record that I first came across on the late Mark Birds "Whacky Classics You May Have Missed" CD's, despite this being released in 1976 there is no information about the Marshmallows, when I posted this record on the blog I mentioned that that their was no information available about them, in those days I had one follower who used to leave sarcastic remarks anonymously, I know who he was though, he lived in New York State, I did know the City but have forgotten the name now, he posted on US time Thursday Evenings, Mother at Hairdressers? and Sundays, Mother at Church, He said more information about the group would be helpful, I suppose I could of made up some fictional information about the group for him, it was not that long ago that I deleted all his comments, his comments never made it onto the blog, I was thinking of blocking him but he would just use another name.
It is my copy of the record on 45Cat and according to the stats I am the only person who admits to owing this record.
For some reason todays original post "Topo de bill - Jam" defaulted to when I loaded the original post in August, I used to get the problem on the original Blog when editing some posts would default to the date of the edit others would remain at the date they were first posted.

Fishing Gosport 14/11/2024
The planned fishing trip from Gosport went ahead yesterday, it was not a pleasant journey down to Gosport, being foggy for almost the whole journey, but luckily the road works at the A3/M25 interchange had no delays at 05.15 in the morning but a different story on the return journey in the evening. Arriving at Gosport Marina the car park was almost empty, unusual as the car park was normally packed, the Marina had lots of complaints that users of the Marina were finding it difficult to park, it turned out that the Marina had the cheapest car parking and non Marina users were taking advantage of it, they had installed a new system, when leaving the marina you now have to go to the Marina Office and they process your ticket to give you the concessionary rate rather than a code to input into the ticket machine.
There were supposed to be 8 on the fishing trip, 2 had dropped in advance due to illness, 5 were there well before the 07.30 start time, we waited but the 6th person did not turn up, so with no sign of him the boat left, we expected a flurry of emails/phone calls but nothing, because of the wait when we arrived at the fishing area the tide had dropped to almost nothing so we were unable to drift for Bass, we moved spots and anchored up for slack water, during this time we caught a number of Blond Rays, as the tide picked up we went drifting for Bass wit lures, the Bass fishing was not prolific but steady and as there is a bag limit of 2 Bass per angler and this had bee reached it was decided to move to the Whiting grounds as we had plenty of bait, within minuets of anchoring the first Whiting was caught this would be the only whiting caught, the remainder of the trip was the proverbial Dogfish and strap Conger, the journey home I hit the rush hour and had delays, worst being as mentioned the A3/M25 but this was only a few minuets this time.
