Billie & Lillie - Bells, Bells, Bells (The Bell Song)

A trip into Epsom during the week and a visit to the Charity Shops all the Charity Shops had some 45's I came across this record, I had never come across Billie & Lillie before this record was the last of three releases in the UK, the first two were on the London Label and this one released July 1959 on the Top Rank label, part of a comment on 45Cat sums up many of the Top Rank releases 'but it's typical Top Rank, something no-one (i.e. other major labels) else wants.' though the same could be said for Oriole, Major Minor, Ember and some others.

Beverley Bunt - Open Up Your Heart

I first came across Beverley Bunt on a cassette tape of Children's Favourites saying that they were often played by Uncle Mac on Children's Favourites, I do not recall ever hearing the tracks but at that age I would not be paying much attention to who the artist was, the record went onto my wants list, I noticed that this record was on other peoples wants list, after some time I got a notification that a copy had bee listed on a certain auction site it was a small record collection in a record folder there were a few Beatles and Cliff Richards singles and another EP also on my wants list Bernard Breslaw, I put a bid in there were no other bids. Three of the four tracks are on YouTube the missing track is 'Me And My Teddy Bear'.

Released in August 1959. When I first posted this record I got an email saying she was alive and well and was married.

Harvey Smith - True Love

The 'A' side of Harvey Smiths 1975 record, I came across a number of copies of this record for a couple of years then it disappeared from Boot Sales, I have not come across a copy of this record for some time.

At  the last Boot Sale I got a copy of a record by Annette, latter on Bank Holiday Monday another Blog 'Sixties Beat' posted three LPs by Annette that included both the tracks on the single, then later another Blog 'I Am The Noise In Your Head' posted the Annette Single complete with picture sleeve, the next day I got an email from Bim Bam Records announcing the new releases amongst the CD's being released were 3 LPs by Annette being released on CD for the first time, the copy of the single I acquired had been sold in the USA for $20 at some point before reaching the UK

The Blogger site is playing up and not showing new posts.

Harvey Smith - End Of The World

Harvey Smith was originally a Show Jumper becoming infamous for giving one of the Judges a "V" sign, after his Show Jumping career ended he became a singer for a short time, as far a I know this was his only single, released in 1975.
