I managed to sort out the problems with my laptop, there was some corruption in the operating program, it mostly affected sound playback and downloading, I reloaded it from the back up, then spent several hours reinstalling a number of programs I use, such as Magix, the battery charging was not working, as I rarely use the Laptop in battery mode, I wasn't bothered about the lack of charging, then out of the blue a day later it started charging again, but is still temperamental.
