A 1969 release, the story I head was that when the Beatles Abbey Road LP was released there was a rumour spreading that Paul McCartney had been killed in a car crash and that a he had been replaced in the band by a ringer, the cover of the Abbey Road LP was the first part of he announcement Paul McCartney has no shoes and the number plates of the cars parked in the road gave the rest of the information. I can not recall where I first came across this track, possibly on a CD of reply/novelty or Beatles related tracks, I did get a limited edition CD that has 2 versions of this song and 2 other Paul McCartney tribute songs, I have since found a third version of this song, I do not know how limited the CD of Paul McCartney songs is as my copy is #66 other copies have been listed and they always seen to be #66.
